I started the tutorial in after effects for the time freeze. the main concept of this tutorial is just taking two different shots shot from the same camera and overlapping them in After Effects using the pen tool to mask pieces of the shots. It gave me some trouble when I realized that the lockers, window, and floor were all reflective. I fixed it be just making some extra masks.
I shot the footage in a hall way that makes a T intersection with another hallway
I shot the first video of Will falling and hitting the trash can.
And another of me walking through the hallway.
I then enabled time remapping on will's layer, and added keyframes to the clip.
These Keyframes allow me to stop time in will's frame but allow me in my frame to keep moving and be unaffected.
I then used the pen tool to map out everything that I wanted from will's shot to be in the final time freeze effect.
I subtracted everything that was outside of the mask.
and added the 2nd layer under it.
I then matched the color of the two videos and I was done.
The final video turned out well and I am happy with it.
